My skin. I swear to you that having kids has sent my skin into a downward spiral of destruction. Perioral Dermatitis. Allergies to sugar and basically any carbs. I’ve suffered through painful breakouts, horrible blemishes and so much dry skin. What do I do? I now drink MASS amounts of water, cut out sugar, and eat clean. It still wasn’t quite enough. I’m doing everything in my power to take back control of my skin and be able to have skin I am proud of. That includes Botox, microneedling, and great skincare.

Today lets chat about microneedling. It is an experience for sure. They numb you all up then go to town. Thank goodness Katharine is fantastic. She is soft and thorough and very good. I can already see a difference and I will be doing more treatments for my face. Don’t forget to give her a call for your appointment. You’ll be SO glad you did!

I’ve asked her to give you a good rundown of all the details on my newest favorite skincare necessity.

I’m sure all the extra hormones your doing for your fertility struggles haven’t helped your skin issues either. I know that when I was in my 30’s that I struggled with awful breakouts. I hardly had any acne when I was a teenager so having adult acne was a shock. What ever our choices are for skin care now will impact later. I know that I’m dealing with hormone issues again due to menopause. Oh the joys of being a women. Drinking lots of water helps our skin glow. We need to pamper our skin. It’s kind of attached to us :-)!

Have you ever looked up rodan and fields? That’s what I use and it has done wonders for my skin since having babies. It has helped my dryness and everything even out. I use two different regimens, but they have four options. I use redefine at night and soothe (for dry sensitive skin) in the mornings. I also use their eye cream, lash boost, lip serum, night serum and microderm roller.

I have awful skin. I got my first real pimple at 9. I’ve taken every antibiotic, Accutane, topical treatments and the 1 thing I found that really works is diet! Lots of water and clean eating. You can tell when I haven’t been eating well. It shows up all over my face. I stay away from milk and sugar especially powdered sugar. I don’t eat icing. If I do i pay for it for like a week with painful breakout so I just don’t.

Definitely try Rodan and Fields. They also have a micro needling system called Redefine AMP MD that comes with their microneedler and night renewing serum caplets (retinol). I’ve seen amazing results!
